SPECIAL CARD FOR GOOD FRIDAY: WATCH AND PRAY
(Courtesy of the Loving Words from Jesus by Doreen Virtue)
“Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation”
Libby’s note: I am conscious of people’s beliefs on organised religion, which I humbly respect wholeheartedly; but this is purely for motivational and inspirational purposes. I grew up Catholic, and I have always been fascinated with World Religions. I will with time look into other Ascended Masters and Spiritual Teachers. Blessings to you, my friends.
For this blessed Good Friday, on April 14th 2017. I felt guided to use this deck of the Loving Words from Jesus by Doreen Virtue.
No matter what religious or spiritual pathway (or if you choose not to be on one at all) you are on, the message here is a vital one for all.
These specific words of Jesus of Nazareth were spoken “Watch and Pray” were used on the night of Holy Thursday or Maundy Thursday before his crucifixion. Jesus took several of his disciples, Peter, James and John with him to the Garden of Gethsemane, where he prayed knowing of what was going to happen to him, but was still very much afraid of what was to come. As Jesus also said “Let this cup be taken from me” (Matthew 26:39) after this time of prayer and reflection, Jesus discovered his disciples sleeping. He grieved that they couldn’t even pray with him for one hour and warned them to “watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)
So to relate this to today’s time is that we must be alert and aware to the drama, negativity, and lower energies and evil of our world. We can’t change people – unless they truly wish to be changed. But we can pray for them: pray that they seek love in their hearts, pray that love can change their heart, pray for peace, pray for forgiveness, pray for strength; and pray for courage.
While we can’t stop or change any negativity, drama lower energies or evil from the past or the present – the power of prayer is very powerful for all humanity as well as any individual soul. We can change the world by being kind to each other – as Jesus of Nazareth has taught people. When you wish to create good change, better change, and peace change – it relies on kindness, compassion and from the highest vibration of all – love. Just simply, love.
As Jesus Christ taught his followers and many people worldwide: “Love one another as I have loved you.” (John 13: 34-25)
Wishing you a blessed Easter season ❤
