“My Father gives you the true bread from Heaven”

Libby’s note: I am conscious of people’s beliefs on organised religion, which I humbly respect wholeheartedly; but this is purely for motivational and inspirational purposes. I grew up Catholic, and I have always been fascinated with World Religions. I will with time look into other Ascended Masters and Spiritual Teachers. Blessings to you, my friends. ❤

As we finish Lent this week, we begin Holy Week. This is one of the most holy weeks of the Christian calendar. In 2017, there is a correlation of religions and significant holidays for people all around the world. Firstly, there is Passover or Pesach taking place from sundown April 10th to sundown on April 18th, 2017. This is a Jewish holiday for Jews worldwide; as it commemorates the Israelites Exodus from Egypt from slavery and bondage from Pharaoh Ramesses. The last of the 10 plagues that ravished Egypt was the death of the first-born son, and in order for the Jewish people to avoid this, God instructed Moses to bring a Passover offering of herbs, and lamb or kid is to be slaughtered and its blood sprinkled on the doorposts and lintel of every Israelite home, so that God should pass over these homes so God knows when he comes to kill every Egyptian firstborn. (You can read more about this in the Book of Exodus in the Old Testament in the Bible or the Torah, the Hebrew Bible)

Since then, every Jewish family commemorates and remembers this holiday to remember the slavery, the fear, the discrimination and the humiliation of what the Jewish people went though. Jews do this every year by celebrating it with a Passover Seder is a family meal.

So why am I telling you this very brief short history lesson? Well, Jesus of Nazareth was Jewish. Jesus’ mother, Mary was Jewish too, and Judaism is passed on matrilineality– meaning if your mother is Jewish, you are as well. The Last Supper was actually a Passover Seder with Jesus of Nazareth and his beloved twelve disciples.  They were all celebrating the Passover together – as you can see in the beautiful painting of Jesus here.

So with today’s message – I was absolutely amazed with its significance this week. No matter what differences we may share of religion, of colour, of creed, or language, or where we live, education level or anything else that we may feel that separates us – it truly doesn’t!

We are all beloved children of God, the Divine. No one is better than the next person, because we are all perfectly the way need to be. We are all here for a real purpose to help one another. We are all here to learn, to grow, to have respect, to have compassion, to show understanding, and to see truly the soul of a human being.

And that’s what all religions and what spirituality is all about. To see the unique soul that we all have.

So that is what we need to focus on for Holy Week.

With love and Many Blessings to you, all!

Libby xoxo
